Last updated: April 17, 2026

This privacy policy explains how Borderless handles personal data collected through this website.

1. Who we are

Borderless is operated by Matthew Butler.

If you have any questions about this privacy policy or want to exercise your data protection rights, you can contact:

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to data collected through:

  • this website
  • the Book a Call and service conversion lead forms used on this website
  • the blog updates sign-up form used on blog post pages
  • Google Analytics
  • Calendly booking flows used on this website
  • our cookie consent setup

3. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • lead-form details you submit through our Book a Call or service conversion forms, including your name, work email address, website, service need, goals, and budget range
  • email address details you submit through the blog updates sign-up form, together with the consent text and source page details associated with that sign-up
  • booking details you provide through Calendly, including your name and email address
  • technical and usage data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, approximate location, and on-site interactions
  • cookie and consent preference data, including whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies

4. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • operate and secure the website
  • understand how the website is used
  • measure site performance and improve content and user experience
  • review and respond to lead-form requests
  • send blog updates where you have explicitly signed up for them
  • manage call bookings and related communications
  • maintain records of consent preferences

We rely on the following legal bases, depending on the activity:

  • Consent for non-essential cookies and analytics where consent is required
  • Legitimate interests to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website
  • Pre-contractual steps or contract where you request a call or contact us in relation to services
  • Legal obligation where we need to retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website.

Google Analytics may collect information such as:

  • IP address
  • browser and device information
  • pages viewed
  • session and engagement data
  • referral and interaction data

Where required by law, Google Analytics should only be activated after you give consent through our cookie consent tool.

7. Calendly

We use Calendly to allow visitors to book calls.

When you book a call through Calendly, we may receive the personal data you submit in that booking flow, including:

  • name
  • email address

Calendly acts as a service provider for booking management and may process data according to its own infrastructure and sub-processors.

8. Lead form and blog updates storage and notifications

When you submit a lead form on this website, we store the submitted details in our Cloudflare D1 database so we can review the request and follow up.

When you sign up for blog updates, we store your email address, the consent text shown at sign-up, and the source page details in our Cloudflare D1 database so we can maintain that subscription record.

We also use Resend to send internal notification emails when a new lead form or blog updates sign-up is submitted.

We use a consent management tool based on Orest Bida’s CookieConsent project to manage cookie choices.

This may store consent-related information so your preferences can be remembered. Our current consent persistence period is:

  • 60 days

Cookies may be used for:

  • essential site functionality
  • analytics and measurement
  • remembering consent choices

You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through the Cookie settings link in the site footer.

10. Sharing of data

We may share personal data with service providers that help us operate the site and business, including:

  • Google Analytics / Google
  • Calendly
  • Resend
  • hosting and infrastructure providers
  • consent management tooling used on the site

We do not sell personal data.

11. International transfers

Because we use third-party services with global infrastructure, personal data may be processed outside your country, including outside the EEA or UK.

Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms made available by the relevant provider.

12. How long we keep data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected.

Our current retention approach is:

  • cookie consent preferences: 60 days
  • analytics data: up to 14 months, unless changed in our analytics settings
  • lead form submissions, related notification records, and Calendly booking data: up to 12 months after the last relevant interaction, unless a longer period is needed for legal, accounting, or dispute-related reasons
  • blog updates sign-up records: until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete your data, or we decide to stop operating the list

We may keep data longer where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to:

  • access your personal data
  • correct inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • restrict processing
  • object to processing
  • withdraw consent
  • request portability of your data
  • complain to a supervisory authority

14. Automated decision-making

We do not use this website to carry out solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

15. Third-party services

Third-party services used on this website may process personal data under their own terms and privacy documentation. You should review their policies where relevant.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website, our tools, or legal requirements. The latest version will always be published on this page.
